Billy's Bees Welcomes Its 3rd Hive for the 2026 Season!

We’re buzzing with excitement! On May 3rd, our newest nucleus colony (NUC) arrived and was successfully installed, bringing Billy’s Bees to three active hives for the 2026 season.This latest addition marks another step in the growth of our little backyard apiary. Watching these incredible pollinators settle into their new home reminds us why we started this journey: healthy bees mean healthier ecosystems. Each hive plays a vital role in supporting local flowers, gardens, and food crops through natural pollination, while also producing delicious, raw honey we love to share.The new NUC looked strong right out of the box, with plenty of bees, brood, and a beautiful queen already hard at work. Within hours of installation, foragers were out exploring and returning with pollen — always a great sign they’re adjusting well to their new surroundings.We’re thrilled to expand responsibly and continue learning with every season. Beekeeping isn’t just a hobby; it’s a small but meaningful way to give back to the planet.
